A Clubhouse-Inspired Lobby

At the heart of the hotel, the lobby and its cocktail bar embrace the atmosphere of a private clubhouse. Conceived as a new meeting place for locals and guests alike, it is a space to gather, connect, enjoy a cocktail or linger over a final drink.

Nature flows into the hotel’s interiors beneath a vast planted atrium. A bespoke fragrance fills the space with notes of fresh tuberose, maritime pine and a hint of sea salt. At its centre, a monumental chandelier adorned with blue mooring buoys, ceiling fins, woven wicker totem sculptures and undulating wall lights by François Bazin all subtly reference La Baule’s maritime heritage and sailing culture.

Sophisticated yet deliberately relaxed, the furniture is defined by soft curves and rich materials, from coffee tables crafted in natural stone, pâte de verre and bronze to bespoke sofas upholstered in Pierre Frey and Élitis fabrics featuring golf-ball motifs and La Baule-inspired stripes. The sense of refinement continues with leather-clad columns, a nod to traditional saddlery and the resort’s renowned Jumping International.

Guest Rooms

Paying tribute to La Baule’s sporting heritage and legendary derbies, the hotel’s 101 rooms and suites feature cream, seaside-inspired wall finishes and bespoke headboards with athletic lines and dynamic patterns.

Designed around three distinctive colour palettes, the interiors embrace bold shades: Wimbledon green, Atlantic blue and clay-court orange. Throughout, custom-designed furniture combines lacquer and wood, with curved silhouettes that embody the local sport-chic spirit. Playful details reinforce the concept: side tables evoke golf greens, wardrobe doors reference the graphic lines of tennis courts, while armchairs are finished with spherical feet.

With a classic sportswear spirit, the bathrooms feature bold horizontal stripes. The aesthetic has a distinctly Lacoste-inspired feel, echoing the tennis culture that has been deeply rooted in La Baule since the early 20th century and embodied by its legendary Tennis Country Club.

The six suites extend the same decorative language on a more generous scale. The exceptional 103 sqm penthouse features an 80 sqm terrace on the seventh floor, overlooking La Baule’s historic villas, surrounding forest and the Atlantic Ocean. Each suite includes bookshelves filled with beautiful volumes on nature and sport, alongside vintage posters celebrating seaside living and curated collections of objects and photography.v

Italian Brasserie – SCAPA

SCAPA extends the Les Cimes Bleues experience through an Italian interpretation firmly rooted in the project’s Sport Chic identity.

Inspired by Italy in the 1960s and 1970s, the curation evokes an era in which elegance and effortless sophistication came together naturally, recalling the spirit of houses such as Gucci and Fendi.

Deep orange walls, reminiscent of clay tennis courts, create an intimate and enveloping atmosphere. Banquettes play with graphic lines and patterns, while leather, ceramic and patterned carpeting strike a subtle balance between Italian tradition and contemporary sporting influences.

Conceived as a visual narrative, the curation brings together vintage posters, sports jerseys and period postcards, lending the space a nostalgic yet vibrant character. Bespoke lighting inspired by the world of sport complements furniture designed entirely by the agency.

Moving seamlessly between its warm interior and summer terrace, SCAPA is conceived as a vibrant social destination, welcoming La Baule locals throughout the year.

Spa & Indoor Pool

The spa draws inspiration from a sunset over the dunes during golden hour, creating a sensory retreat bathed in warm, enveloping light.

The colour palette unfolds in soft shades of yellow, pink and terracotta, evoking the changing tones of sand at sunset.

The spaces are shaped by natural materials — travertine, woven fibres and mosaics in sun-washed hues — complemented by bespoke glossy ceramics in shimmering rose-gold tones.

Together, these elements create a soft yet distinctive atmosphere, where every detail contributes to a subtle balance between material and light.

With its organic lines echoing the surrounding architecture, the pool becomes the heart of the space. Above, a poetic ceiling fresco depicts birds soaring over the ocean, while a mosaic starfish delicately adorns the pool floor.

Within this luminous pastel palette, guests are invited to experience a true moment suspended in time, between serenity and contemplation.

The curation continues the narrative through a selection of photographs captured during golden hour, reinforcing the overall coherence of the concept.

Here, the sporting spirit gives way to a more natural poetry, creating a gentle and immersive sense of harmony.
